2023 was a year of change for PIF. In July we were awarded charitable status and on 1 October we began operating from the new PIF charity. This annual review covers the activity of the not for profit company in 2023.
Highlights include our work on assessing the credibility of health information on social media with the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges and the growth of the PIF TICK. We accredited the 100th organisation in June.
We published a report on shared decision making with the Patients Association and updated guidance on Creating Health Information for Children and Young People with a focus on health inequality.
