PIF member Rethink Mental Illness has launched a campaign highlighting how cost of living and mental health are 'inextricably linked'.

Turn the Tide on Mental Health encourages people to make sure the challenges of living with mental health are heard.

It encourages people to email their MP to demand the Prime Minister and Chancellor:

  • Publish a fully funded 10-year plan for mental health
  • Tackle funding for the NHS and social care
  • Provide financial support for the millions of people in need of benefits

Find out more about the campaign here.

Rethink Mental Illness is also running a survey on the impact of the cost-of-living crisis.

The aim is to ensure its work focuses on the priorities of people living with mental illness.

The survey is open to anyone with lived experience of severe mental illness.

Carers can also respond on behalf of the person they care for.
