The Professional Record Standards Body (PRSB) has published its new shared decision-making standard.

The standard aims to ensure information discussed during a shared decision-making session is captured in a single, digital space and shareable between digital systems.

PIF director Sophie Randall was on the project board for the development of the standard.

Shared decision-making is central to delivering personalised care which respects the individual circumstances, wishes and decisions of the person receiving care.

The standard will help to ensure this information is securely saved and made available to professionals to allow them to administer high-quality care.
