PIF member The King's Fund has published a series of resources to help tackle digital exclusion in healthcare.

The resources are the result of an ongoing project on digital equity.

The King's Fund spoke to people with lived experience and service providers to understand the issues and what might help improve digital inclusion.

Its new report explores what digital exclusion is, who is commonly assumed to be excluded and what can be done to mitigate digital exclusion.

A policy briefing has also been published. It says policy-makers should:

  • Act to improve people’s experience of digital health and care services
  • Reduce inequalities
  • Ensure everyone is able to choose and use digitally enabled health and care services.
