PIF member Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust is planning a social media conversation for Cervical Screening Awareness Week.

Using #LetsTalkScreening, the charity will highlight how everyone’s experience of cervical screening are different.

The aim is to encourage people who may be worried about the procedure to have screening anyway.

The campaign recognises how different life experiences might change a person’s feelings about screening.

Screening stories will be shared from people:

  • After giving birth
  • After menopause
  • After transitioning
  • After receiving the first invitation
  • After being refused screening.

The campaign will also share tips and support on how to make attending screening easier.

Cervical Screening Awareness Week runs from 19 to 24 June.
