The Patient Information Forum (PIF) Freelance Directory is a network of freelance PIF members working in health information. It is free for PIF freelance members to join the Directory.
Terms and Conditions
To be part of the PIF Freelance Directory you agree to the Terms and Conditions below, which are in addition to the Terms and Conditions of PIF membership which can be found here: https://pifonline.org.uk/terms-conditions/
- PIF's definition of a freelancer is someone who is self-employed and typically works on several jobs for multiple clients at one time.
- To be listed on the Directory you must be a current member of the Patient Information Forum.
- PIF is not party to any contract entered into between yourself and organisations commissioning your services.
- You are responsible for the information provided to PIF for upload to the Freelance Directory, and for ensuring this is kept up to date.
- In uploading information to compile your membership profile you warrant that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to the content of your profile and agree not to infringe any third party's copyright, IP, patent, trademark, trade secret or other rights of publicity or privacy.
- By uploading and submitting such information you are granting the Patient Information Forum permission to use such information in connection with the operation of the Freelance Directory, without limitation, the license rights to: reproduce, distribute, transmit, publicly display, edit and reformat your profile and to publish your name in connection with your profile. You acknowledge and agree that we may amend any information you provide to us as part of your profile.
- Always use caution when giving out any personally identifiable information about yourself or your family to any party.
- Do not include text, images or links that are defamatory, libellous, lewd or in bad taste, ensuring that your profile is accurate, truthful and complies with English law; including but not limited to those governing consumer protection and false advertising.
- Members should make every endeavour to ensure that they conduct their business affairs in a professional manner, trading legally, fairly and honestly with clients.
- We reserve the right to refuse membership or terminate your access to Freelance Directory at any time, without notice, for any reason whatsoever.
- Use of Freelance Directory is at your sole risk. However, we encourage that you contact us to notify us in the event of any difficulties.
- You agree that we may be required to disclose your personal data to applicable legal and regulatory authorities.
Limitation of Liability
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you hereby release the Patient Information Forum from any damages or liability whatsoever relating to listing on the Freelance Directory, the services offered by and any information contained on the Freelance Directory, including, without limitation, lost profits, lost business opportunities, lost data, disputes with or any negligent, intentional wrongdoing, or otherwise.
Project Board
The Patient Information Forum Project Board provides a service to allow organisations to advertise projects which they wish to commission freelance services for.
- The Patient Information Forum (PIF) are not party to any contract entered into between organisations commissioning the services of those listed on the Freelance Directory.
- Please treat all members of Freelance Directory with respect and courtesy. Do not spam, harass or pass any details of other members on to outside parties without their prior permission.
- Whilst we promote and encourage honesty and fair dealings amongst our members, the Patient Information Forum cannot vouch for Freelance Directory members or be held liable for the accuracy, quality, legality of the services advertised, or business conduct of freelancers registered on its website.
- Use of the Project Board is at your sole risk. However, we encourage that you contact us to notify us in the event of any difficulties.
