Two new trustees join the PIF board
Sue Farrington, Chair of PIF said: “We are delighted to welcome Fiona and Muiz to the Board of Trustees. They bring great expertise to the group and will help strengthen our governance in a rapidly changing technology environment, particularly in relation to data and AI.”
New treasurer for PIF
Fiona MacDonagh is a finance and compliance specialist and has been appointed as Treasurer. She currently holds a senior role at Tommy’s, the Baby Charity, where she leads compliance, data protection, and risk management.
Fiona has worked for a number of commercial enterprises in the financial services sector. She has held senior positions in finance, compliance, and risk management and worked extensively with board members.
She said: "I firmly believe access to reliable, accurate health information is not a privilege, but a right. At a time of AI, misinformation, and growing complexity, PIF is leading the way ensuring people can find information they can trust. I wanted to play a part in that important work."
'Supporting PIF's growth and impact'
Muiz Agbaje is a senior finance leader with more than 15 years of experience across the public and non-profit sectors. He currently holds a senior finance leadership role at Genomics England Limited.
“I was keen to join PIF because of the vital role it plays in improving the quality and accessibility of health information. Clear, trustworthy information is fundamental to empowering people and improving outcomes. I’m looking forward to contributing to the Board and supporting PIF’s continued growth and impact.”
Muiz brings a strong technical background and a collaborative, proportionate approach to governance, with a particular interest in how high-quality information, data, and transparency support better outcomes and reduce inequalities.
