Gill Rowlands is Professor of General Practice at Newcastle University. Her main research interests are health literacy and the development of evidence-based policy to support health literacy improvements.
Gill has been working with WHO colleagues in Europe on the development of a new tool to measure organisational health literacy. Gill outlines the theory of organisational health literacy, describes the M-POHL tool and opportunities to pilot it in England.
