Lupus UK is funding a survey to find out more about how the condition affects people's overall health and lifestyle.
Lupus affects people in many different ways, including what they are able to do in their everyday lives.
The aim of the research is to gain better understanding of the different effects of lupus.
This knowledge can then be used to personalise treatments and care.
The study is being run by researchers from Birmingham University and Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust.
Study participants will answer online questions about how lupus affects them, including their physical activity and wellbeing.
