PIF presented the results of our Covid Choices survey in a webinar on Thursday 17 September.

Speakers

Sophie Randall, PIF

Trishna Bharadia, Expert Patient and PIF Member

Dan Berry, Behavioural Science Unit, Hill+Knowlton Strategies

Nicki Bickford, Guys and St Thomas NHS Trust, PIF Member

Speakers at the webinar presented the findings and look at solutions to help encourage people back to care.

Below are some key points from the survey

  • More than 800 people responded to the Covid Choices survey this summer.
  • Fear of catching and becoming seriously ill with COVID-19 outweighed concerns about existing health conditions.
  • A lack of trustworthy information and conflicting guidance also emerged as key concerns and barriers to seeking appropriate medical help.
  • Almost one in three people who responded had delayed care
