The Professional Record Standards Body (PRSB) has published a position statement on artificial intelligence (AI) and health information standards.

The statement says it is vital for information standards to evolve in tandem with digital innovation to ensure safety, accuracy and interoperability.

Ten key points, specifically dealing with AI as it relates to information record standards, will be used to guide PRSB's work.

They cover key areas including interoperability, ethical use of data, inclusivity and personalisation and person-centred care.

The statement also discusses opportunity for collaboration, evaluation and the need for a regulatory framework that ensures safety and efficacy.
