Accessible language, information review processes and misinformation emerged as key themes at our latest Health Information Challenges and Solutions Workshop.
Other key topics included sourcing reliable evidence, conflicts of interest when fundraising and geographic challenges, including 'postcode lotteries' and differences across the four nations.
The open space workshop is a chance for members to set the agenda and tell us how we can support them to produce the best possible health information.
Previous events have led to the creation of our updated Translating Health Information guide and our Accessibility Matters poster.
Before the workshop we asked members to tell us their top three health information challenges.
These were then grouped into main themes and we asked delegates to vote on which they would like to discuss in a series of breakout rooms.
Below is a summary of the main challenges raised within each theme and feedback from the discussion groups.
There is also a summary of a quick-fire round discussing other challenges raised by members.
We have signposted PIF resources which may be of use to members in each area.
