PIF member the Alzheimer's Society has launched a campaign to dispel the myth that memory loss is only a symptom of getting older.
The campaign follows research which showed the main barrier to getting a dementia diagnosis was people thinking memory loss was 'just old age'.
It includes a powerful video titled It's not called getting old, it's called getting sick.

A new booklet about diagnosis was also created by the knowledge team.

The main campaign page also features information on memory loss. Topics include:
- Causes of memory loss and when to seek support
- The difference between signs of normal ageing and symptoms of dementia
- Common misconceptions about dementia and what you need to know
